Katherine Nassar

Experience
As an attorney, Katherine has concentrated her practice in the areas of family law and civil litigation. Katherine’s practice combines her empathy and concern for her clients with her skill and attention to detail. She has represented clients in all types of family law cases, including divorces, custody cases, high-net worth cases, alimony cases, and relocation hearings. Katherine also has special experience and interest in navigating LGBTQ divorces. In civil litigation matters, Katherine enjoys working on contract disputes, business litigation, real property disputes, probate cases, and estates and trusts litigation.
Katherine has always been committed to serving her community. As a law student, she served as a certified legal intern at Levin College of Law’s Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Clinic. Katherine also volunteered her time to the Mass Incarceration Project, Alachua County Self-Help Program, and by performing research to support international human rights and other causes. Katherine’s community service was recognized when she received the Outstanding Pro Bono Certificate from the Levin College of Law.
In her free time, Katherine enjoys traveling and spending time with her wife and their dog, Bear.
Education
Katherine was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a star student, earning her Bachelors of Arts at the University of Mary Washington, where she graduated summa cum laude. Katherine earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude.
While attending the Levin College of Law, Katherine was a Research Editor for the prestigious Florida Law Review and graduated in the top 10% of her class. Katherine showed her aptitude for family law while she was still a law student, when she was recognized as the top student in her class and received the Book Award for the best performance in family law.
